On the first of March 2011, Miracles and Magic opened its doors in Bexleyheath.
The culmination of months of hard work by two friends with a mutual dream,Gaynor Thompson and Jane Warren decided to open a mind, body spirit shop that not only offered an amazing, eclectic selection of metaphysical wares but was also a place to relax, chill out with a cuppa and enjoy that inner comfort that only a slice of delicious home made cake can give!
The two partners invited Monica Wade to join them as they embarked on this new venture. The name Miracles and Magic was chosen and upon closer inspection it was realised that there are some very special people hidden within those words. Gaynor's late husband, Emil and father Les, both very influential in Gaynor's spiritual life. and Emilia, Gaynor's youngest grand-daughter, are all to be found in 'Miracles and Magic.' A jumble of letters, a jumble of souls, each one having a profound influence on the success of this new retail venture in Bexleyheath.
Gaynor Thompson has been a working medium for more than 30 years. She is a founder member of Kent Spiritual Teaching Group and owned two very successful metaphysical shops in Rochester and Maidstone until the untimely death of her husband.
Monica is an aura photographer and complementary therapist who has been teaching for more than 30 years.
Jane is a Reiki Master and has been a therapist for more than 15 years. She is a lively addition to both the tea room and the front of shop.
